ADDING OR REMOVING SECURITY SYSTEMS
Steel fence post and wire fence will be placed around the entire
site as it is developed. Should the landfill close at any time,
the cost for closure would be to fence 3 typical side lengths,
approx. 2 , 500 feet.
8 . COST
a. The estimated unit cost for fencing is $3/LF.
($3/LF X 2 , 500LF) = $ 7 , 500
b. Misc. gates, locks, and signs $ 750
$ 8,250
STRUCTURE REMOVAL
Those structures that would have to be removed include the
gatehouse (w/concrete scale pit) , foreman's residence, and
maintenance building. Since the demolished structures can be
disposed of on-site, the aggregate 4, 600 SF of building areas
could be removed for about $2 . 30 SF.
9 . COST
(4, 600 X $2 . 30) _ $ 10,580
DISMANTLING ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS
It is estimated that there will be approximately 35 monitoring
well installations that will have to eventually be dismantled.
To properly abandon a well to county standards will cost
approximately $500 per well.
10. COST
(35 X $500) _ $ 17,500
24
