1.4 HEALTH AND SAFETY MONITOR <br /> A. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a person who will be designated as the Health <br /> and Safety Monitor. The Health and Safety Monitor shall be responsible for <br /> implementation of the Health and Safety Plan. <br /> B. The Health and Safety Monitor shall have the authority to order workers on the <br /> project site to comply with the Health and Safety Plan. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> A. The Site Health and Safety Plan shall be consistent with all applicable local, state <br /> and federal health standards and guidelines including, but not limited to, the <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and amendments thereto, <br /> the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the U.S. <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Cal OSHA. The plan shall be <br /> sufficient to protect onsite and offsite personnel from the potential physical, <br /> chemical, and/or biological hazards particular to the site. <br /> 2.2 EQUIPMENT <br /> A. All required health and safety equipment identified in the approved Site Health <br /> and Safety Plan shall be supplied and made available by the CONTRACTOR to <br /> his personnel, regulatory representatives and all authorized visitors. Such items <br /> include protective clothing and equipment, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, <br /> warning signs,barricade tape, illumination, potable water, toilet facilities, etc. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 IMPLEMENTATION <br /> A. Within 10 days of the execution of the Contract between the OWNER and the <br /> CONTRACTOR, and prior to mobilization, the Site Health and Safety Plan shall <br /> be submitted to the OWNER. <br /> B. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the preparation and proper <br /> execution of his Site Health and Safety Plan. <br /> PART 4 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT (refer to Section 01200, PRICE AND <br /> PAYMENT PROCEDURES) <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> Forward Landfill WMU FU-04 <br /> 01310 3 HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br />
