SECTION 01500 <br /> TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br /> PART 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br /> A. Temporary utilities required during construction. <br /> B. Temporary construction facilities, including access roads, field offices and project <br /> signs. <br /> C. Requirements for security and protection of facilities and property. <br /> D. Temporary controls for protection of environment. <br /> E. Maintaining traffic. <br /> 1.2 REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for furnishing, installing, constructing, <br /> operating, maintaining, removing and disposing of the facilities, as specified in <br /> this Specification, and as required by the OWNER for the completion of the Work <br /> under the Contract. <br /> B. Construction facilities shall be located as approved, and maintained in a clean, <br /> safe and sanitary condition at all times until completion of the Contract. <br /> C. The requirements specified herein are in addition to any requirements specified <br /> elsewhere in the Contract Documents. Construction facilities shall meet the <br /> requirements for all-weather service. <br /> D. Land disturbances related to the construction facilities shall be minimized to the <br /> greatest extent possible and the land restored to the extent reasonable and <br /> practical, to its original contours by grading to provide positive drainage and by <br /> seeding the area to match with existing vegetation at no cost to the OWNER. <br /> E. Utilities shall be designed and constructed to provide uninterrupted service. <br /> F. Use area designated on the plans for CONTRACTOR's temporary facilities and as <br /> directed by the OWNER. <br /> G. Notify OWNER of obstructions not shown or not readily apparent by visual <br /> inspection of the staging area. If such obstructions adversely affect <br /> CONTRACTOR's operations, proper adjustment to Contract will be considered. <br /> Do not remove obstructions without OWNER's prior consent. <br /> 1.3 TEMPORARY UTILITIES <br /> A. Sanitary Facilities <br /> 1.
