FU-04 cell once construction of the base liner, LCRS components, and protective <br /> operations layer is completed. The 3-inch solid HDPE leachate pipe shall be field <br /> fit and located such that it shall not damage the WMU FU-04 lining system <br /> components. An end cap shall be placed on the downstream end of the 3-inch <br /> solid HDPE leachate header pipe and the end cap shall not be removed until the <br /> WMU FU-04 cell is approved for disposal by the RWQCB. <br /> 3.8 PLACEMENT OF LEACHATE RISER PIPES <br /> A. Place leachate riser pipes at location shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> B. Connect pipe sections by thermal butt fusion. <br /> C. Construct leachate riser support as described in Section 02300, EARTHWORK. <br /> 3.9 PROTECTION OF PIPE <br /> A. No construction traffic shall cross the pipe without sufficient cover as determined <br /> by the DESIGN ENGINEER. <br /> B. The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall construct at least one temporary <br /> crossing point within WMU FU-04 to provide access for necessary construction <br /> traffic. These temporary crossing points shall be located by the EARTHWORK <br /> CONTRACTOR and shall consist at a minimum of the completed Coarse Gravel <br /> and Granular Drainage Material Components, and a minimum of 2.5 feet of <br /> Protective Operations Layer extending a minimum of 4 feet from the centerline of <br /> the pipe in each direction. <br /> PART 4MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT (Refer to Section 01200, PRICE AND <br /> PAYMENT PROCEDURES) <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> Forward Landfill WMU FU-04 <br /> 02535 5 LEACHATE PIPES <br />
