BOLLARDS <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SUMMARY <br /> This section covers the installation of bollards as shown on the construction <br /> drawings, as specified herein. <br /> PART 2 - MATERIALS <br /> 2.01 STEEL PIPE: Steel pipe shall be painted with two (2) coats of YELLOW rust <br /> inhibiting paint. <br /> 2.02 CONCRETE: Concrete used shall comply with the specifications in Section 13-S. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install bollards at the specified wells per the well schedule. Locations of bollards <br /> may be adjusted by the Engineer before installation. No additional payment <br /> shall be made due to this adjustment. <br /> B. Install bollards plumb. <br /> C. Remove wet concrete from the outside surface of the bollard after overfilling the <br /> steel pipe with concrete. <br /> PART 4 - MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> ' 4.01 MEASUREMENT <br /> ' Measurement for payment for installing bollards shall be per the number of bollards <br /> installed. <br /> ' 4.02 PAYMENT <br /> Payment for Installing bollards shall be per the unit cost quoted in the bid proposal. <br /> ' The unit price quoted shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, <br /> materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for painting the bollards with the <br /> specified paint, setting the bollards in concrete plumb, filling the bollards with <br /> ' concrete, and for doing all the work involved completely as shown on the <br /> construction drawings and specified herein. <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> NA2PerimLFGwells 08\Specs\Sect 60-S Bollards.doc <br />
