8 PRELIMINARY CLOSURE AND POSTCLOSURE MAINTENANCE PLAN <br />6.10.8.1. It is anticipated that final closure of the landfill will be completed within 2 years after <br />reaching full capacity- Therefore the landfill will he Glesed ;n 2069 <br />. PeFtions of the landfill <br />The County assumes closure by evapotranspirative cover. <br />Two years prior to final closure, the County will submit a Final Closure Plan, identifying the work <br />included with closure and a schedule for implementation. <br />Portions of the landfill may be closed in advance of reaching full capacity (partial closure) <br />Two years prior to the anticipated date <br />of partial closure, the County will submit a Partial Final Closure and Postclosure Maintenance <br />Plans for the areas being proposed for closureed. The County may submit this final plan within <br />5 years of anticipated closure in lieu of submitting new or updated preliminary closure and <br />postclosure plans. One year prior to closure bid documents and CQA Plan will be submitted. <br />Within that year prior to closure, a contractor will be selected and the closure construction will <br />start and end in one construction season. <br />A CQA Plan will be submitted with the Final Closure/Postclosure Plan per Title 27 Sections <br />20323 and 20324. Subsequent to closure, a CQA report will be submitted with as-builts to <br />support certification of closure. <br />Approximately seven acres have received an evapotranspirative (ET) closure cap Acceptance <br />of this area as closed is dependent on the results of the tests now underway.
