DAILY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of 1 <br />Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 003 <br />Project Number: 11-101-01 Date: Wednesday 05/13/15 <br />Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: T. Sathees <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Tem erature: A2prox. range 55-70 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. <br />Excavation: Up to (1) CAT D6 and (1) CAT D8 dozers with ripper attachments assisted up to (4) CAT 627 scrapers (one <br />scrapes was idle in the afternoon) load material from the excavation along north side of the cell. In the morning, the soil was <br />hauled and stockpiled in the current landfill daily cover borrow area north west of the project area (North West Stockpile) for <br />use in landfill operations. In the afternoon, the soil (fine-grained brown silty sand) was hauled to the South Stockpile <br />(Temporary Foundation Stockpile) for use as foundation layer material. <br />North West Stockpile: 6:30 am to 12 pm. (1) CAT 14H motorgrader was observed spreading and grading the soil in the <br />Stockpile fill area and maintaining haul roads. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to maintain fill areas, haul roads, and <br />excavation areas. <br />South Stockpile: 12 pm to 5 pm. (1) CAT D8 dozer, and (1) CAT 14H motorgrader prepared the foortprint for the stockpile <br />by removing existing vegetation and topsoil. Fine-grained brown silty sand material was hauled from the excavation to the <br />South Stockpile for use as foundation layer material. (1) CAT 825 compactor was used to break the larger clods to aid the <br />future processing of material. Fines content of the stockpile material was estimated between 30 to 40 percent of the portion <br />finer that 3/8 -inch. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T dozer, (1) CAT 621 water pull, (4) 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, <br />(1) CAT 825 compactor <br />Problems/Resolutions. <br />Visitors: <br />Reviewed By: M.
