DAILY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of 1 <br />Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 044 <br />Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Friday 07/10/15 <br />Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Tem erature: ARRrox. range 70- 85 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Equipment was shut down at 3:30 and slope preparation continued. <br />Excavation: (1) CAT D6 dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper graded Basin 1. Fill placement began in the southern portion of the <br />Basin. One test was taken which passed compaction requirements. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to maintain excavations, <br />haul roads and stockpile and fill areas <br />Slope Subgrade Preparation: Up to (6) laborers using hand tools prepared the slope areas, and the side boom smooth drum <br />roller continued to roll the north slope. Some of the areas that were rolled complied with the specifications. Some areas <br />needing rework were pointed out to the contractor as typical areas for rework. Rolling of the eastern slope began in the late <br />am. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator and (1) CAT 320 excavator cleaned up and graded the tie in area. <br />Access Road: (1) CAT 14 H motorgrader graded the road. One test was taken and passed, however adjacent areas were <br />obviously wet and the contractor chose to take no action at this time. I stated that additional testing would be needed before <br />base material was placed on the road. <br />Foundation Layer: No activity observed today. <br />Sump Construction: No activity observed today. <br />North West Stockpile: No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 1 (Foundation): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 3: No activity was observed. <br />Geosynthetics: Delivery totals of GCL 89 rolls;, HDPE 24 rolls. The GCL rolls arrived covered by tarps on trucks. The <br />unloading was observed by a QA Monitor. A forklift was used to unload the trucks, using the supplied straps with each roll. <br />The rolls were placed on 6" HDPE pipe to keep the material off the ground. HDPE deliveries were on flatbed trucks and <br />unloaded using the supplied straps for each roll. All rolls unloaded were checked against a master approved list. <br />(2) loads of LCRS rock was delivered today by end dump trucks with pups. <br />Construction of the LCRS gravel test pad is scheduled for Monday. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D6R dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water <br />pull, (4) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) <br />CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT side -boom winch smooth drum roller, (1) <br />CAT 430D backhoe.
