M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Temperature: Approx. range 70- 92 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Equipment was shut down at 3:30 and slope preparation and staging of <br />geosynthetics continued. <br />Excavation: (1) CAT D6 dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper graded Basin 1. Fill placement began in the southern portion of the Basin. <br />(1) CAT 825 provided compaction effort. One test was taken which passed compaction requirements. (1) CAT 621 water pull <br />was used to maintain excavations, haul roads and fill areas. <br />Slope Subgrade Preparation: Up to (6) laborers using hand tools continued to prepare the slope areas top and toe of the <br />north slope, and the side boom smooth drum roller continued to roll the east slope. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator and (1) CAT <br />320 excavator cleaned up and graded the tie in area. <br />Access Road: No activity. <br />Foundation Layer: (1) water -pull continued to provide moisture for the foundation layer. <br />Sump Construction: No activity observed today. <br />North West Stockpile: No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 1 (Foundation): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 3: No activity was observed. <br />Geosynthetics: Delivery totals of 256 GCL rolls; 54 HDPE rolls; and some Geocomposite rolls. The GCL rolls arrived under <br />tarps on trucks. The unloading was observed by QA. A forklift was used to unload the trucks, using the supplied straps with <br />each roll. The rolls were placed on 6" HDPE pipe to keep the material off the ground. HDPE deliveries were on flatbed trucks <br />and unloaded using the supplied straps for each roll. All rolls unloaded were checked against a master approved list. The <br />contractor was asked to modify the subgrade adjacent to the GCL storage area to drain away from the area. <br />LCRS Gravel Drainage Material: The proposed test pad was built today with representatives from the County, AES and <br />Geosyntec present A description of the procedure is described in a separate document.. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D611 dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water <br />pull, (4) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) <br />CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT side -boom winch smooth drum roller, (1) <br />CAT 430D backhoe.
