Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Tem erature: Approx. range 70- 100 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm. <br />Excavation: No activity observed. <br />LCRS Piping: Up to (3) laborers assisted in the welding of the 6" LCRS piping adjacent to the liner on the floor. (1) CAT 436 <br />backhoe and (1) forklift assisted. <br />Access Road: No activity. <br />Sump Riser Construction: No activity observed today. <br />North West Stockpile: No activity observed today. <br />South Stockpile 2 (Operations): (1) CAT 623 scraper was delivered last night and used this morning to pick up soil for the <br />Operations Test Pad. (1) CAT D6 dozer moved soil around in the operations stockpile and pioneered access. <br />South Stockpile 3: (1) CAT D6 dozer moved soil around in the stockpile for access. <br />Geosynthetic Liner: Geosynthetics deployment began on the East slope, covering approximately 2/3 of the slope by the end <br />of the day. QA activities included monitoring of placement, trial welds, seaming and collection of destructive seam <br />samples. A cumulative quantity of approximately 619,000 SF of GCL and geomembrane has been deployed. <br />Operations Layer Processing. (1) CAT 623 paddlewheel scraper began picking up soil from the Operations Layer stockpile <br />and placing the material in thin lifts on the ground in the equipment yard. (1) CAT 54B smooth drum roller was used to make <br />several passes on the material with the vibratory mode on. Several lifts were placed in an approximate area 75 ft long by 50 ft <br />wide to an approximate depth of 1 ft. It was a general consensus that the roller was pushing some of the clods and oversize <br />into the ground, rather than breaking the material up. The contractor made a visual assessment and decided the process <br />would take too long with an uncertain outcome. <br />Other: (1) CAT 320 excavator has been demobed <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 <br />excavator, (1) CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
