Nogales <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Temperature: A22rox. range 70- 85 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm. Great Basin worked until 6 pm <br />Excavation: No activity observed. <br />Access Road: No activity observed. <br />Geosynthetic Liner: Geosynthetics detailing and deployment continued in the sump area to complete the upper (primary) <br />liner over the sump and secondary LCRS riser pipe trench up the eastern slope. QA activities included monitoring of <br />placement, trial welds, seaming and collection of destructive seam samples. Vacuum testing continued as the <br />contractor worked to complete QC testing of extrusion seams at patches across the floor and East slope. <br />Construction of the boots around the protruding Secondary LCRS Riser and Lysimeter Riser pipes was started but <br />not completed. Puddle Leak Location operations began today on the western portion of the floor and continued <br />until approximately 2 pm. Leak location testing will continue tomorrow. <br />Operations Layer Processing: Approximately 10 am to 4:30 pm. Screening operations began today at approximately 10 am <br />today. The Hundai 480LC was used to load soil from the east end of Stockpile 2 into the screen plant. Screened product was <br />stockpiled in a cone using a belt stacker to keep the screened soil separate from unprocessed soil. There was no recorded <br />tonnage of material screened today as the scale on the plant was not set up yet. An estimated tonnage is about 1,000 CY <br />screened. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator was used part time for stockpile management. (1) CAT D6 dozer assisted part time by <br />track walking and pushing the oversize reject pile back to the main stockpile for additional screening. A sample of the <br />screened Operations Layer was collected for sieve analysis. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 <br />excavator, (1) CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
