I- <br />L <br />DAILY FIELD REPORT Paae 1 of 1 <br />Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 062 <br />Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Wednesday 08/05/15 <br />Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: R. Nogales <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Temperature: Approx. range 70- 85 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm. <br />Excavation: No activity observed. <br />Access Road: No activity. <br />Geosynthetic Liner: Geosynthetics detailing continued with a small crew. QA activities included, trial welds, seaming <br />and collection of 3 destructive seam samples. Vacuum testing continued as the contractor completed testing of <br />extrusion welds. Construction of the boots around the protruding Secondary LCRS Riser and Lysimeter Riser pipes <br />was completed and the welds were successfully spark tested. Work on the geomembrane was completed today. <br />Leak detection operations continued today and the floor area was finished without finding any leaks. <br />Operations Layer Processing: Screening began at 5:30 am and the crew worked 10 hrs. The Hundai 480LC was used to load <br />soil from the east end of South Stockpile 2 into the screen plant. Screened product was stockpiled in a cone using a belt <br />stacker to keep the screened soil separate from unprocessed soil. The Contractor reported 1,900 tons of material screened <br />today as measured on the scale on the plant. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator was used part time for stockpile management. (1) CAT <br />D6 dozer assisted part time by track walking and pushing the oversize reject pile back to the main stockpile for additional <br />screening. A sample of the screened Operations Layer was collected for sieve analysis. Results of sieve testing of a sample <br />collected yesterday indicated 100% of the material was finer than 1 inch. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 <br />excavator, (1) CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
