C 11 DAILY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of 1 Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 064 Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Friday 08/07/1S Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: R. Nogales Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and Weather: Clear - Warm Wind: 0-10 mph. Temperature: Approx. range 66- 93 F Other: The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm. Excavation: No activity observed. Access Road: No activity observed. Operations Layer Processing: Screening began at 5:30 am and the crew worked until 4:30. (1) Hundai 48OLC, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator and (1) CAT D6 dozer continued screening operations. The Hundai 480LC was used to load soil from the east end of Stockpile 2 into the Power Screen screening plant. Hitachi 300 Excavator used to stage screened operations material for future haul. D6 Dozer used to support Hundai Excavator and pioneer haul road from stockpile to cell floor. Screened product was stockpiled in a cone using a belt stacker to keep the screened soil separate from unprocessed soil. The oversize material was recycled back into the stockpile after brief track walking with the D6 dozer. The Contractor reported 2,297 tons of material screened today. (2) Samples collected from screened Operations stockpile today. Field Laboratory tests on today's 2 samples and yesterdays 1 sample indicates 100% passing the 1" screen. (1) Cat 745 Dump Truck Delivered onsite today. LCRS Gravel Placement: 17 tandem end -dump trucks continued delivery of LCRS gravel today. The material was spread and finished along southwestern portion of cell floor using a Cat D6 LGP dozer equipped with GPS. LCRS Gravel is at finish grades along most of the southern edge of liner to edge of the southernmost proposed Leachate Collection pipe. A small area in the southwestern corner of LCRS gravel remains to be finished. LCRS Gravel spreading discontinued at 2:00 due to moderate to heavy wrinkles observed in HDPE liner. During LCRS gravel placement (1) Laborer was used to control the wrinkles. AES QA personnel monitored the placement and verified the depths of the placed LCRS gravel by using a dulled probe. (1) Field sample of LCRS gravel retrieved from cell floor and gradation performed on site. Field gradation indicated 100% passing 3/8", 41% passing #4 and 1.2% passing #200 screen. Geotextile: RJ Gordon deployed 8 oz/sy geotextile over finished LCRS Gravel along Southwestern most portion floor, starting at edge of Sump working west. (2) Laborers were used to hand roll Geotextile into place. (9) Rolls of 8 Oz Geotextile deployed today. Observed seams sewn using hand sewing machine. Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT 627 scraper, (1) 14H motorgrader, (2) water trucks, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
