M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear - Hot Wind: 10-20 mph. <br />Temperature: ARprox. range 69- 78 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. <br />Operations Layer Processing: Contractor continued screening of operations stockpile # 3 today at 7:00 am. (1) Hitachi 300 <br />excavator, (1) Hyundai 480LC excavator, (1) CAT D6 dozer (1) 950 M Loader used to perform screening operations. The <br />Hitachi 300 used to load soil from Stockpile 3 into the Power Screen screening plant. Screened product was stockpiled in a <br />cone using a belt stacker to keep the screened soil separate from unprocessed soil. (1) 950 M Loader used relocate +1" from <br />under belt into separate stockpile. (1) Sample collected from today's stacker belt. Full gradation was performed in field lab. <br />Lab results indicated 100 % Passing 1" Screen. <br />Sacrificial Geomembrane: Placement of sacrificial Geomembrane continued on the East slope today. Orientation of the <br />membrane seams was changed to comply with specs. The orientation also achieved the proper coverage, as determined by RJ <br />Gordon, using a GPS to mark Operations Layer limits on the lower slope. Windy conditions were an issue with deployment. <br />Operations Layer Placement: (1) Hyundai 48OLC or (1) Hyundai 480LC excavator loaded (2) Cat 745 Dump Truck with <br />Screened Operations Layer for placement on cell floor. (1) D6 LGP was used on a part time basis to spread Operations layer 2 <br />ft thick over deployed 8 oz/sy geotextile along eastern portion of cell. Material was also stockpiled along the toe of the slopes <br />and some materials pushed up slope into place using the CAT D6 LGP dozer. (1) 14M Motor Grader used to fine grade <br />operations layer on the floor. Random samples of Operations layer were hand sieved in field with 1" screen during placement <br />and found to not contain oversized particles or clods. Placement discontinued at 6:00 pm. <br />Gravel Drainage Material Placement: GDM was placed intermittently along with other work on the LCRS at the toe of the <br />East slope. <br />Geotextile: Great Basin sewed 8 oz geotextile along the toe of the East slope and sump areas of the cell. The contractor <br />continued to use additional unapproved materials delivered on Friday. (1) Conformance sample is being take from each roll <br />for testing if required. <br />Leachate Collection Pipe: Placement of the LCRS risers began today. Solid HDPE pipe placed on the slope was welded to <br />perforated pipe on the floor. <br />Force Main: No activity observed today. <br />Leak Detection: No activity today. <br />LCRS and Sump: (1) Cat 950 M Loader was used to place coarse gravel into sump and adjacent continuations of the LCRS <br />collection pipes at the toe of the East Slope. The loader also placed GDM in the same area, after deployment of 8 oz/sy <br />geotextile. <br />Anchor Trench: No activity today. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (2) water trucks, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) John <br />Deere 410 Backhoe. (1) CAT 623 paddlewheel scraper. (1) Power Screen, (1) Belt Stacker, (1) Hyundai 48OLC excavator, (1) <br />CAT D6T dozer, (2) Cat 745 Dump Truck, (1) Cat 950 M Loader (1) CAT D4 Dozer (1) 14M Motor Grader <br />Problems/Resolutions. 8 oz geotextile materials continue being placed without MQC data or acceptance. <br />Visitors: M.
