C C DAILY FIELD REPORT Pate 1 of 9 Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 090 Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Tuesday 09/15/15 Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and Weather: Clear - Wind: 10-20 mph. Temperature: Approx. range 65- 85 F Other: The contractor worked from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Operations Layer Processing: Contractor continued screening of operations stockpile # 3 today at 7:00 am. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) Hyundai 480LC excavator, (1) CAT D6 dozer (1) 950 M Loader used to perform screening operations. The Hitachi 300 used to load soil from Stockpile 3 into the Power Screen screening plant. Screened product was stockpiled in a cone using a belt stacker to keep the screened soil separate from unprocessed soil. (1) 950 M Loader used relocate +1" from under belt into separate stockpile. (1) Sample collected from today's stacker belt. Full gradation was performed in field lab. Lab results indicated 100 % Passing 1" Screen. Sacrificial Geomembrane: Placement of sacrificial geomembrane continued on the North slope today. Orientation of the membrane seams complied with specs. In the afternoon, most of the efforts were concentrated on clean up and repairs on the North slope tie in area, rather than deployment. The contractor does not have rope for the sand bags. Operations Layer Placement: (1) Hyundai 480LC or (1) Hyundai 480LC excavator loaded (2) Cat 745 Dump Truck with Screened Operations Layer for placement on cell floor. (1) D6 LGP was used on a part time basis to spread Operations layer 2 ft thick over deployed 8 oz/sy geotextile along Eastern portion of cell. Material was also stockpiled along the toe of the slopes and some materials pushed up slope into place using the CAT D6 LGP dozer. Gravel Drainage Material Placement: The final GDM was placed in the remaining areas, which were at the toe of the East Slope. Geotextile: 8 oz geotextile covering GDM was completed today. (5) of the additional rolls were not been used for the LCRS. Force Main: (1) CAT 410 backhoe resumed excavation of the force main trench near the tank farm. Digging was difficult and a laborer suppored by the HUNDAI 480 excavator completed the trench within the fenced area. Leak Detection: Leak detection services resumed activity on the floor today. Anchor Trench: No activity today. Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (2) water trucks, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT 410K Backhoe. (1) CAT 623 paddlewheel scraper.
