M. Hu and Weather: Clear - Wind: 0-10m h. Tem erature: Approx. range 65- 80 F Other: The contractor worked from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Operations Layer Processing: There was no screening operations today. The contractor has begun to demob the screen plant. Sacrificial Geomembrane: Placement of sacrificial Geomembrane continued on the North slope today. Orientation of the membrane seams complied with the specifications. Operations Layer Placement: Operations layer placement is substantially complete. Finish grading of the layer continued using (1) CAT D6 dozer and (1) CAT 14M motorgrader. (1) JD 410 backhoe and up to 5 laborers dug holes in the Operations Layer for point over point survey in the GDM, scheduled for tomorrow. One foot of material was excavated by the backhoe at designated locations, then laborers excavated the lower portion by hand. Force Main: No activity today. Leak Detection: Leak detection services finished the leak detection survey today. No problems were reported. Anchor Trench: No activity today. Termination Berm Construction: Construction on the western and southern termination berm began today. (2) CAT 745 articulating end dumps hauled materials from Basin 1 and 2. (1) Hundai 480 excavator loaded the trucks inside the basins. Up to (2) CAT D6 dozers mixed fill and spread the materials in 8" lifts prior to compaction using (1) CAT CP 54 self propelled compactor. Water was an issue and the fill was remediated in the late afternoon. There was insufficient fill to test today.
