DAILY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of 1 <br />Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 094 <br />Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Monday 09/21/15 <br />Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear - Wind: 0-10m h. <br />Temperature: AEErox. range 70- 105 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. <br />Sacrificial Geomembrane: Great Basin continued with installation of sand bag anchors for the sacrificial geomembrane all <br />day. <br />Operations Layer: (1) CAT 14H motorgrader with GPS graded the floor. (2) CAT 745 trucks loaded by the Hitachi 300 <br />excavator hauled material from the screened stockpile to the bench at the tie in of Area 2 to Area 1. The CAT trucks loaded by <br />the Hundai 480 excavator also hauled excavated material from the drainage channel to the tie in area. The first foot of <br />operations layer placed was 1 -inch -minus screened soil. AES and a RJ Gordon laborer monitored the first foot thickness y <br />taking physical measurements as material was placed. If the measured thickness was low, additional material was placed. <br />The excavated material from the channel was used to complete the upper portion of the 3 foot operations layer section per <br />the details on the plans. <br />Force Main: While excavating with Hitachi 300 excavator for the Forced Main cleanout, 2 electrical lines were severed. The <br />County (Joyesh Chandra) advised that the lines were from Sump Pump 1. The County turned the power off and RJ Gordon will <br />make the repairs. <br />Termination Berm Construction: Construction on the western and southern termination berm continued today. Material <br />came from the adjacent drainage channel excavation. (1) CAT D6 dozer mixed fill and spread the materials in 8" lifts prior to <br />compaction using (1) CAT CP 54 self propelled compactor. <br />Electrical Panel Placement: The electrical subcontractor was onsite and poured concrete in the Sono tubes for the main <br />panel. <br />Sump Riser Pipes: It was discovered today that the 6" Instrumentation riser pipe above the LCRS Primary liner has not been <br />placed, and has been overlooked. RJ Gordon foreman advised the County of the problem. <br />Drainage Structures: (1) Hundai 480 excavator continued cutting the trapezoidal channel at the western edge of the floor, <br />working southward. Excavated materials were placed as fill in the adjacent berm or hauled to the Operations Layer on the tie <br />in with Area 1. (1) CAT 14 H and 1 CAT D6 dozers assisted in the grading activities. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (2) water trucks, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) JD 410K <br />Backhoe. (1) CAT 623 paddlewheel scraper. (1) Hyundai 480LC excavator, (1) CAT D6T dozer, (2) Cat 745 Dump Truck, (1) <br />Cat 950 M Loader, (1) CAT D4 Dozer, (1) CAT 14MH Motor Grader, (1) CAT CP54 compactor <br />Problems/Resolutions: It has been reported to the County that the instrumentation 6" pipe has not been installed with the <br />Primary Sum2 Riser <br />Visitors: <br />Reviewed By: M.
