P person, 7.4 lbs. and 5.5 lbs. respectively, San Joaquin <br /> County's rate is higher in both instances. <br /> HARNEY LANE SANITARY LANDFILL <br /> This facility is located on Harney Lane, between Tully and Jack <br /> Tone Roads, about 9 miles east of the City of Lodi. It is owned <br /> and operated as a Class III sanitary landfill by San Joaquin County <br /> utilizing Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division staff. <br /> The site is open from 7: 00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and serves the <br /> general public as well as the franchised collectors for the City <br /> of Lodi, County Refuse Service Area B, and other County Licensed <br /> Collectors which service the North County Area (Figure 1) . <br /> Approximately 2,400 tons of municipal, commercial, and industrial <br /> wastes are delivered weekly to the landfill. <br /> Following is a summary of the number and volume/weight of the loads <br /> delivered to the landfill, and the special fees charged <br /> during 1988. For detailed information about the summary refer to <br /> Appendices A through G. <br /> TOTAL TONS <br /> During 1988, the Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill received 124,901 <br /> tons, of which 83, 422 (67%) tons were delivered by the various <br /> refuse collectors, and the balance, 41,479 (33%) tons, was <br /> delivered by the general public. Of the 41,479 tons, 14, 373 tons <br /> were weighed, and the remainder, 27, 106 tons, were calculated by <br /> taking the cubic yard volume of the non weighed waste, 105,757 cy, <br /> and multiplying by the .2563 conversion factor discussed in the <br /> introduction. <br /> The refuse collectors deliver the waste in large refuse collection <br /> vehicles such as Rear Loaders, Front Loaders, Roll-Off Type, and <br /> Transfer Trailers.
