GeoSyntec Consultants 0 <br />• Inspecting soil stockpile and borrow areas. <br />• Inspecting synthetic materials, finished product specifications, and <br />manufacturer's test results. <br />• Checking receipt of all synthetic materials documentation required in the <br />specifications before synthetic materials are accepted. <br />• Observing transportation, unloading, handling, and storage procedures for the <br />synthetic materials for any damage that may occur; damaged synthetic materials <br />may be rejected. <br />Reviewing Contractor's proposed construction procedure for design and <br />specification compatibility. <br />5.2 Construction <br />5.2.1 General <br />The inspection activities of the CQA Team will include: <br />• Checking that materials are as specified or approved by the CQA Officer or <br />Design Engineer. <br />• Recording any damage to the compacted soil layers or synthetic materials <br />resulting from operation of equipment. <br />• Observing the phases of the construction and document the Contractor's <br />compliance or noncompliance with the approved plans, specifications, and the <br />directions of the CQA Officer. <br />• Monitoring to prevent equipment from damaging stored or deployed synthetic <br />materials by handling, trafficking, leakage, or other means. <br />• Monitoring to prevent people working on the synthetic materials from smoking, <br />wearing shoes that could damage the materials, or engaging in activities that <br />could damage the materials. <br />J:IALLIED\FORWARD\CLOSURE\REPORT\CQA REPORT 5-2 99.11.30 0 <br />
