Guinn started to excavate the north to south LCRS channel today. Guinn <br /> continued to construct the roadway to the south of Ashpit. Guinn utilized 2-633 paddle wheel scrapers to haul subgrade <br /> material from the clayey earthfill stockpile to the south roadway. Guinn compacted the material in 6-8 loose lifts with <br /> the 815F Sheepfoot compactor. Prior to placement of the subgrade material Guinn scarified and moisture conditioned the <br /> existing subgrade. Guinn had a laborer hand raking the loose material from the eastern slope below bench#1. The <br /> laborer hand raked and shoveled loose material from under the liner edge tie in to cell WMD D-98. <br /> Allied- Allied utilized the water truck to maintain moisture in the subgrade material. <br /> Friday June 18, 1999 <br /> Guinn-Guinn continues to work on the lift on the north and south ends of the cell floor utilizing the laser to achieve the <br /> 2%flow towards-the LCRS channel and the I%flow to-the sump area. Guinn excavated the LCRS channel on the <br /> eastern side of the cell floor running north to south. Guinn replaced all of the excavated material from the sump area. <br /> Guinn will excavate the sump area to precipitate the GCL placement instead of clay. Guinn utilized 633 paddle wheel <br /> scraper to haul subgrade material to the sump area cell.
