6-28-99 Weekly Field Report Job No. 986011.0: WFR No.9 VECTOR ENGINEERING, INC. Page No. Wednesday June 30, 1999 GSE—GSE started deployment of the GCL on the eastern slope of cell WMU D-99 below bench#1. A total of 18 panels were placed with approximately 12,353.5ft2 being deployed. GSE placed 11 panels of geomembrane over the GCL totaling approximately 10950f 2 being deployed. All panels were seamed and anchored. No airtests were performed due to the excessively high heat. GSE unloaded 3 loads of GCL delivered to the site today. Thursday July 1, 1999 Guinn performed clean up and some detail work on the southern slope of cell WMU D-99. Guinn worked on grading the access ramp entering from the Northwest of cell WMU D-99. GSE deployed geomembrane on the cell floor from the tie in to cell WMU D-98 towards the south. A total of 20 panels were placed with approximately 99,753ft of geomembrane being deployed. All panels were seamed and airtested. GSE unloaded 1 load of GCL delivered to the site today. GSE performed several repairs on the destruct areas and panel air test points. Friday July 2, 1999 Guinn had 3 laborers and foreman placing and welding 50' sections together of HDPE pipe on the cell floor in the East West LCRS channel. Guinn welded 9 sections of pipe together. GSE had 10 more crew arrive on site. GSE deployed geomembrane on the cell floor, sump area and the eastern slope from the 2nd bench down to the I"bench. GSE completed placement on the cell floor except for the southern tie in to the ashpit. GSE completed placement of the GCL and liner in the sump area. GSE squared up GCL and liner and made the tie in from the 2nd bench above the cell on the eastern slope down to the lst bench. A total of 20 panels were placed with approximately 00000f12 of geomembrane being deployed. All panels were seamed and airtested. GSE performed repairs on all of the geomembrane material placed. GSE pulled samples in 10' intervals off of each end of the failing destruct and tested them prior to removing destruct samples for testing by CQA. Destruct 12A was pulled 20 feet to the west of#12 and 12B was pulled 10' East of destruct 12and both passed the required specifications. Saturday July 3, 1999 GSE vacuum tested all repairs made on the cell floor and the 1st bench above the cell floors eastern slope. GSE pulled destructs for testing by CQA on the slope from the 2nd bench down to the l st bench. GSE completed detail work on the cell floor and sump areas. GSE stagged rolls of bentomat on the 3d bench above the cell floor on the eastern slope. GSE placed GCL on the slope below the 2°d bench down to the 1st bench.
