Guinn imported some questionable GDM
material. Guinn was informed that the material looked questionable. Guinn stockpiled the material to the
north of cell until a sieve is completed by CQA.
GSE: GSE deployed GCL and geomembrane on the top of the Ashpit. GSE deployed a total of 36 panels of
GCL with approximate) 15,788.5fi. GSE deployed a total of 5 panels of HDT geomembrane with
approximately 17,2591 GSE had 3 technicians wedge welding the geocomposite on the eastern slope. GSE
shut down operations when the temperature rose above the specified limits for panel deployment. GSE
deployed geocomposite until the heat was unbearable. GSE placed 6 panels of composite with approximately
6,870fl on the eastern slope.
Tuesday July 13,1999
Guinn: Guinn continued to grade the GDM and the operations layer on the cell floor. Guinn utilized the D4H
and the DSM to spread and grade the GDM and the operations layer material. Guinn placed geotextile over
the approved GDM on the north side of the sump at the western edge of the cell floor. Guinn utilized the 623
paddle wheel to haul the operations layer material from the stockpile down to the cell floor. Guinn spread
operations material 1' minimum thickness.
GSE: GSE continues to deployed GCL and geomembrane on the top of the Ashpit. GSE deployed a total of 6
panels of GCL with approximately 7,695ftz. GSE deployed a total of 1 panel of geomembrane with
approximately 4,312ft . GSE deployed double sided geocomposite on the top and the south slope of the
Ashpit. A total of 22 panels of GCL were deployed with approximately 46,450if. GSE deployed single sided
geocomposite on the eastern slope. A total of 10 panels with approximately 6375ft2 were placed. GSE
welded the geocomposite seams on the eastern slope.
Wednesday July 14, 1999
Guinn: Guinn continued to import and grade GDM the cell floor. Guinn continued to place operations
material. Guinn is utilized a 623 paddle wheel to haul the operations material. The operations material is
being placed at a 1' minimum thickness to 2' thick where the trucks and 623 run. Guinn has a water truck on
site moisture conditioning the operations material at the stockpile area.
File Name: Forward Landfill Prepared by: Frank Dell-Era Reviewed by:
