NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): Monday August 23, 1999 Guinn: Guinn continued to place the first lift of earthfill in the anchor trench around the Leachate impoundment pond. Guinn dressed up the Ashpit by track walking the slopes. Guinn placed the cement slurry mix in the sump riser anchor trench and the anchor trench in the southwest corner of cell WMU D-99. The water truck continues to moisture condition all over the site. GSE: GSE deployed geonet on the floor, north and south slopes of the leachate impoundment pond. GSE deployed approximately 45,000ft2. All seams were tied with approved plastic ties. Tuesday August 24, 1999 0 Guinn: Guinn backfilled the anchor trench on the geonet around the Leachate impoundment pond. Guinn excavated and replaced the sump tank with a new tank in cell WNW D-98. Guinn placed new coarse drainage gravel around the tank. The tank is setting on gravel and wrapped with geotextile on the surface of the gravel. GSE: GSE completed deployment of the Geonet in the leachate impoundment pond. GSE deployed a total approximately 25'00ft2. GSE started deployment of the primary liner system in the leachate impoundment with a total of 20 panels of 60 mil smooth geomembrane totaling approximately 16,855ft2. A couple repairs were made to the secondary liner One at the anchor trench for the sump riser on the southwestern slope, A wrinkle was removed and a cap strip was placed and tested, a second repair of a wrinkle was made on the access ramp_ No repairs were made on the primary liner system_ Wednesday August 25, 1999 Guinn: Guinn back-filled and compacted the earthfill around the sump tank in cell WW D-98. Guinn backfilled the anchor trenches on the southern and western slopes of the leachate impoundment pond. GSE: GSE deployed a total of 37 panels of 60mil geomembrane for the primary liner system in the leachate impoundment pond. 27 panels were smooth and 10 panels were smooth white with black textured on the bottom totaling approximately 29,417ft2. No repairs were made today. All seams were welded and airtested. Thursday August 26, 1999 Guinn: Guinn backfilled and compacted the earthfill on the western slope of the leachate impoundment pond.
