8-23-99 Weekly Field Report Job No. 986011.0;
WFR No.16 VECTOR ENGINEERING, INC.. Page No. 2/z
GSE deployed a total of 26 panels of 60mi1 geomembrane for the primary liner system in the leachate
impoundment pond totaling approximately 23,967.5ft2. GSE flipped the smooth/textured geomembrane over
with the textured side up so the warranty would not be voided (PER Bill Geary). GSE started to make repairs
today after all seams were airtested. CQA pulled 4 destructs with DS-5p failing. CQA informed GSE who cut
DS—5p A and DS-5p B with failing results. GSE will cap strip the seam in Question. Seam 54/57 was the
second seam performed of the day by IG 2040 so CQA and GSE pulled sample DS-6p from the third seam
welded by IG 2040 with passing results. GSE will cap strip the first seam welded by IG.
Friday August 27, 1999
GSE: GSE airtested all seams performed today and continued to make repairs to the geomembrane. GSE
tested DS-6p taken from the seam that machine 2040 welded after the failed DS-5p and passed peel and shear
testing. GSE cap stripped all of the seams performed by machine 2040 prior to DS-5p on-6-26.99 due to
samples taken from the seams failed testing. Seams tested after DS-6p passed testing.
Saturday August 28, 1999
GSE: GSE completed airtesting all seams performed and continued to make repairs to the geomembrane.
GSE installed the boots for the force main drop inlet brackets. GSE started the boots for the lyisometers. GSE
vacuum tested the repairs made to the geomembrane. GSE installed wind vents on the western slope
approximately 1' off of the hinge point at approximately 50' intervals.
File Name: Forward Landfill Prepared by: Frank Dell-Era Reviewed by: U
