MEETING NOTES <br /> Page 5 <br /> May 7, 1999 <br /> SCREDULE/TIME <br /> • Guinn is planning to start mobilizing and surveying around May 10. <br /> • Guinn will plan on completing the work around August 2. <br /> • The substantial completion and date for liquidated damage dates listed in the <br /> Agreement are July 5 and August 2, respectively. Kevin mentioned that Allied's <br /> intent on the liquidated damages was to make sure that Guinn didn't start <br /> pulling crews off Forward if Guinn had another job that came up. Kevin said <br /> that as long as Guinn was making a good faith effort, the liquidated damages <br /> would not be enforced. The liquidated damages on the surveying were added <br /> due to the difficulty in obtaining survey results during WMU D-98 construction. <br /> The turnaround time is 4 days. As long as DeWalt is making a good faith <br /> effort, liquidated damages will not be assessed. <br /> • Work hours are 5 days a week from 7:00 am to 5:00 PM, with weekend work, <br /> as necessary. <br /> • Weekly meetings are scheduled for Tuesdays at 10:00 am. <br /> • Guinn will provide an initial construction schedule. <br /> • Vector will start mobilizing for CQA the week of May 10. <br /> COORDINATION ISSUES <br /> • Forward will place the subgrade fill and will take responsibility for unloading <br /> and storing the geosynthetics until GSE arrives onsite. <br /> • GSE and Guinn should submit three copies of all required submittals to Scott. <br /> SURVEYING AND LAYOUT <br /> • Sangeeta mentioned that there was some latitude on the survey tolerances, <br /> especially on the subgrade fill that Butch was placing. In general, things that <br /> are listed as minimums on the drawing, especially the minimum thickness of the <br /> base liner components and the minimum grades on the cell base must be <br /> achieved. Items listed on the drawings as approximate are not as critical. <br /> • A grid should be established for thickness measurements with shots on each <br /> subsequent layer taken at the same Northing and Easting. <br /> • DeWalt requested a listing of control points and an electronic version of the <br /> CARD drawings. Sangeeta said she would provide these items. <br /> CQA <br /> • Three interface shear strength test configurations are required. Vector should <br /> use the same testing criteria as for WMU D-98 and will contact Sangeeta with <br /> any questions. <br />
