C. Where more than 5 gallons of flammable or combustible <br />liquids or 5 pounds of flammable gas are being used, a <br />fire extinguisher rated not less than 10:ABC shall be <br />provided within 50 feet. <br />D. There shall be maintenance and inspection for fire <br />extinguishers at the Site. At a minimum, this program <br />will include: <br />a. The placement of an inspection tag on each fire <br />extinguisher. <br />b. A monthly inspection of each fire extinguisher <br />with the inspector's signature. <br />C. A regular inspection of seals, release pins, and <br />-pressure gauges. <br />d. Immediate removal from service of extinguishers <br />11 not. -meeting .minimum standards - <br />5 FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS s <br />A. Storage and Handling <br />1. Only approved containers shall be used for storage <br />and handling of flammable and combustible liquids. <br />Approved safety cans shall be used for the <br />handling and use except that this shall not apply <br />to those materials which are hard to pour, which <br />may be used and handled in original shipping <br />containers. <br />2. Flammable or combustible liquids shall not be <br />stored in areas used for exits, stairways or 'area <br />normally used for the passage of people or <br />equipment. <br />3. All storage, handling or use of flammable and <br />combustible substances shall be under the <br />supervision of qualified persons. <br />4. Areas where combustibles are stored, processed, or <br />used should not contain heat sources, or if <br />heating is necessary, the materials should be <br />located to prevent overheating. Areas must also <br />be properly ventilated. <br />FP -3 _ <br />
