Discuss any health and safety related issues. <br />• Review scheduled work activities. <br />• Discuss project related problems. <br />• Review laboratory and field test data. <br />• Discuss the Contractor's personnel and equipment assignments. <br />Review the previous week's activities/accomplishments and review/discuss <br />work planned for the following week. <br />4.3 SPECIAL MEETINGS <br />Special meetings may be conducted as required to discuss problems or <br />deficiencies. At a minimum, these meetings should be attended by the <br />Construction Manager, appropriate Geotechnical. CQA staff and the Contractor. <br />If correction of a problem requires a design modification, the Landfill Engineer <br />and the Geotechnical Project Director will also be present. The purpose of these <br />meetings is to: <br />Define and discuss any problems or deficiencies in the Project. <br />Review possible corrective actions or solutions. <br />Implement an action plan to resolve the problems or deficiencies. <br />Special meetings shall be documented by the Construction Manager or his/her <br />representative and minutes shall be distributed to all parties. <br />5.0 GEOTECHNICAL CQA MONITORING FOR EARTH MATERIALS <br />5.1 GENERAL <br />Construction of the final cover system shall be performed in accordance with the <br />Project Drawings -and Specifications and shall be monitored, observed,.and <br />routinely sampled and tested by the Geotechnical CQA Monitors for the physical <br />parameters described in this section. <br />The testing frequency presented herein is a minimum. Additional tests�will'be <br />conducted by the Geotechnical CQA Monitor at any time that in the opinion of <br />the Geotechnical CQA Monitor, additional testing is required and/or a deficiency <br />is suspected. Retests of previously failed areas will be performed at the discretion <br />of the Geotechnical CQA Monitor when, in his/her opinion, sufficient reworking <br />of the area has been performed to warrant a retest. <br />5.2 COMPACTED FILL PLACEMENT <br />Material for compacted fills shall be obtained from approved borrow areas and <br />conditioned as necessary to meet the requirements of the Project Specification. <br />All fills shall be moisture conditioned as necessary and to the requirements of the <br />-10- <br />C\2001-048TINAL COVER CQA.DOCA08/20/01 <br />Geologic Associates <br />
