Consolidated Forward Inc. Landfill Page 26
81(1.4)
Proposed as Part of the Project:
If leachate is delivered to the City of Stockton Regional Wastewater Control Facility,
the project sponsor will provide for independently corroborated test results to the
City to demonstrate the chemical composition of the leachate extracted from the
proposed consolidated landfill project. Monitoring and testing of landfill -generated
leachate will meet the requirements of the City of Stockton Wastewater Ordinance
and the City Municipal Utilities Department.
If leachate quality is not acceptable for disposal at the Regional Wastewater Control
Facility, the project sponsor will either have the leachate collected and disposed off-
site by a licensed Treatment and Disposal Facility, or will develop on-site leachate
processing that will result in treated leachate that is acceptable for disposal at the
wastewater treatment plant or acceptable to regulatory agencies for on-site use. The
design and operation of any on-site leachate processing that is implemented will
comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
j. CULTURAL RESOURCES
82 (J.1)
Proposed as Part of the Project:
If prehistoric archaeological resources are discovered during excavation and
construction of the proposed project, the project sponsor will suspend all work in the
immediate vicinity of the find pending site investigation by a qualified archaeologist
or cultural resources consultant to assess the materials and determine their
significance. If the qualified archaeologist determines that the find is an important
archaeological resource, the project sponsor will provide funding and time to allow
recovering an archaeological sample or to implement avoidance measures. Work
could continue at other locations while archaeological mitigation takes place.
The project sponsor will allow only a qualified archaeologist or cultural resource
consultant to collect any prehistoric cultural resources discovered on the site.
If prehistoric archaeological deposits that include human remains are discovered by
the project sponsor or any construction contractors during development of the
project site, the project sponsor will notify the County Coroner immediately. If the
remains are found to be Native American, the Native American Heritage
Commission will be notified with 24 hours. The most likely descendant of the
deceased Native American will be notified and given the chance to make
recommendations for the remains. If no recommendations are made within 24
hours, remains may be reinterred elsewhere on the property. If recommendations
are made and not accepted, the Native American Heritage Commission will mediate
the issue.
If avoidance of important prehistoric archaeological resources is not feasible, the
project sponsor will prepare an excavation plan in coordination with a qualified
