November 26, Wednesday 2003 General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer: Sukut Construction GSE San Beta Lewis General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Others: Tim Sues Are Khounmouan Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician: Native, stockpiled,light brown silty Clay Cold,clear and Ken Davila wind Equipment on site: 1-backhoe 1-smoothdrum roller NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): I arrived on site and met with the GSE foreman to discuss the deployment schedule for today. They began to deploy 60 mil HDPE on the south floor of the cell beginning in the southwest comer working west to east. Twenty-two(22)panels of single and double textured liner were deployed until the southern third of the floor was complete. 60mil double textured HDPE was deployed until the remainder of the floor was covered. This completed the double textured portion of the cell deployment. In the afternoon, deployment of the single textured liner began in the sump until completed. After the panels were deployed, seaming and air testing was completed.Destructive sample locations continued to be marked for cutting. The GSE foreman stated that they would be working tomorrow to complete the sump area tie-in to the south slope and the primary/secondary tie-in around the sump. This was at the single textured/double textured boundary. Sukut worked in the FU-03 cell sump installing the lysimeters prior to the arrival of the testing firm. In the early morning,the testing firm arrived on site,tested the lysimeters and approved them for installation. The lysimeters were installed into the clay,the tubes placed in PVC casing and were run up the south slope out of the sump.
