King B. (Sukut superintendent)was on site in the morning to discuss the week's plan of operation. Sukut Construction continued the earthworks operations with the blade cutting subgrade in the outer FU-03 cell floor areas. The scrapers hauled the excess cut material from the cell floor and from the leachate pond to the stockpile. The D5 dozer cut the floor of the desilting pond and the D6 dozer continued cutting the north and east slopes ofle the leachate pond. Sukut's surveyors were on site today to plot points throughout the work area. Review of the certifications and the on site check-in of geocomposite was completed. The geotextile material(12oz)review had begun in the mid-morning and will continue tomorrow. Two(2)samples of 60 mil HDPE were delivered to off site Vector personnel for delivery to the Vector laboratory. One sample was single side textured and the other was double side textured. On site lab testing of the clay material continued with the completion of two(2)minus 200 washes in the morning and one(1)in the afternoon. An informal meeting was held on the FU-03 cell floor in the morning to discuss project progress,the sump construction and clay placement. In the afternoon,the formal weekly meeting was held to discuss project scheduling, clay testing, liner installation and various other components of the cell liner system.
