P.O. Box 6336
FORWARDt® 1145 W. Charter Way - Stockton, CA 32506
I\ C 0 R P 0 R A T E D (209) 466-4482 - (800) 204-4242 - FAX (209) 466-1067
4. Due to the extremely high amounts of precipitation this season, there have been some small
areas of increased uneven subsidence on the inactive areas of the landfill.
The landfill staff has marked these areas and any necessary filling or regrading will be
accomplished as soon as weather conditions allow for proper repairs to be completed
without any additional negative effects.
5. Due to the extremely high amounts of precipitation this season, some slopes have
experienced some minor erosion rills. None of the affected areas have exposed any waste.
The landfill staff has marked these areas and any necessary filling or regrading will be
accomplished as soon as weather conditions allow for proper repairs to be completed
without any additional negative effects.
6. Additional speed limit signs were posted along the entrance and exit roads of the landfill.
Also, a stop sign was placed at the intersection of the exit from the disposal area and the
scale house area. A letter was also sent out to the regular haulers and customers reminding
them of the safety rules and conditions to be followed while on the landfill facility. (See
attached letter.)
7. The compliance schedule in Notice and Order 03-01 is being followed. The quarterly
monitoring report was sent to your office on January 17, 2005. If it cannot be located,
please contact us and we will have another copy provided.
8. The green waste stockpile that was observed on January 27, 2005 was completely removed
and used as ADC on January 28-29, 2005. The Landfill Operations Foreman has developed
a tracking worksheet to document the temperature checks performed on the green waste
stockpile. These worksheets will be filed in the Landfill office,
9. Additional comments have been provided by our consultant, Bryan A. Stirrat & Associates
regarding the effectiveness of the remediation program along the western property
boundary of the Forward Landfill. These comments will be forwarded to you in a separate
letter prior to March 11, 2005,
10. Prior to March 11, 2005, a letter will be provided describing the current use of daily cover
and ADC materials at the Forward Landfill. This letter will include a discussion of the
different material types used as daily cover and ADC and the varying physical
characteristics of each type.
2
