Guinn Construction began the morning using four of the 627 scrapers to haul clay and four to haul topsoil throughout the day. One dozer, one water truck and the Sheepsfoot roller also worked on the north slope. The other water trucks moisture conditioned the haul roads and the cut area behind the tractor with discs. ® The contractor began excavating the I% slope for the seep collection pipes along the toe of the north slope. Sections of perforated and nonperforated pipes were placed along the shallow trench as were the leachate collection sumps. The surveyor was on site to shoot the north slope, trench lines and the collection sump locations. Thirty-five (35) nuclear moisture density tests were performed at random locations and elevations on the north slope fill area, west to east.
