Guinn
Construction continued using the scrapers to haul clay from the northern and central cut areas throughout
the day. Six (6) scrapers continued placing fill material from west to east. One dozer, with GPS, one of the
water trucks and the sheepsfoot roller also worked on the north slope fill area. The other water truck
moisture conditioned the haul roads and the cut area behind the other dozer.
Twenty-three (23) nuclear moisture density tests were performed at random locations and elevations on
the north slope fill area. All tests passed the specified values in density and moisture content and the on site
foreman was verbally informed of the test results. Two permeability samples (P-15 & P-16) were obtained
from the fill area and will be transported to the Vector laboratory for off site testing. One sample of geogrid
was also obtained for off site testing.
The GSE crew arrived on site and began filling sand bags in the morning.
Lo
4/23/03, Rev. 0 1 of 1
C-2
Reviewed By: ItL
