The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall remove
all earthwork and geosynthetic materials overlying the geomembrane to the
extent required to repair the leak and shall repair all identified leaks in the
geomembrane at his sole expense. Following the repair of the leak in the
geomembrane, the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall replace all
earthwork and geosynthetic materials at his sole expense. All Work
performed to repair and replace materials shall be performed in accordance
with the applicable Specifications sections.
B. Placing Requirements:
1. Deposit material in lifts not less than 12 -inches in depth (after compaction).
Do not operate placement equipment over the underlying GDM and
geotextile with less than 12 -inches of Protective Operations Layer in place.
3. Protective Operations Layer shall be placed in continuous and
approximately horizontal lifts for their full length and width using track -
type dozers unless otherwise specifically permitted by the DESIGN
ENGINEER or QA/QC CONSULTANT.
4.
