cover soils as necessary to prevent dust. In this manner, Forward prevents any visible emissions outside of the designated ACW disposal area. Entry to the ACW is controlled by several means. The landfill does not accept waste from the general public ("self-haul"). In addition, fences and/or topographic features (berms, creeks, vegetation, etc.) prevent unauthorized access to the facility. During operating hours, landfill personnel monitor and control access. Landfill gates are closed and locked securely when the landfill is closed. in addition, fences separate the designated ACW disposal area from the rest of the landfill. Appropriate warning signs are posted within and around the designated ACW disposal area. All Forward employees involved in the handling and disposal of ACW are equipped with a reusable half-face air-purifying respirator, goggles, hardhats, gloves, and disposable protective coveralls. Site personnel are trained in the proper use of protective gear and are fit tested for the respirator by the respirator's manufacturer or a certified representative. The employees receive initial and annual medical examinations to comply with OSHA Standards for possible exposure to asbestos and to determine their capability to perform required duties and wear a respirator. They also receive annual training by Cal Inc. For each job related to ACW management, the-job title, name of person filling that job, description of the job, and description of the type and amount of training relative to ACW management required for that job, are summarized below. In addition to the job-specific training presented for each job below, each person filling any of these jobs receives training in the Contingency Plan.
