WMU FU-08 October 2008 <br /> Forward Landfill Project No. 021605.08 <br /> 5:1 SIDESLOPES <br /> • 1-foot thick protective operations layer (to be placed during <br /> operations); <br /> • Geocomposite drainage material; <br /> • 60-mil thick single-sided textured HDPE geomembrane; <br /> • Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL); and <br /> • Approximately 5-feet of engineered fill over existing Austin <br /> Road Landfill. <br /> 2.2 Project Construction Summary <br /> Earthwork construction of the 5:1 slope area of WMU FU-08 commenced in mid <br /> June 2008 and was essentially completed by July 1, 2008. Construction of the low <br /> permeability soil liner (LPSL) began mid July and was essentially completed by <br /> August 1, 2008. Geosynthetics installation started on August 11, 2008, with <br /> deployment of GCL, 60-mil single-side textured HDPE liner, then geocomposite, <br /> and was completed on August 24, 2008. <br /> Earthwork in WMU FU-08 was started the second week of June 2008 and was <br /> surveyed at finished grade on July 31, 2008. Installation of geosynthetics was <br /> started on August 11, 2008, with deployment of GCL, 60-mil single and double- <br /> sided textured HDPE and 12 oz. cushion geotextile, and was completed on August <br /> 24, 2008.
