• Green Material means "any plant material which is derived from residential, <br /> community, or construction waste, including but not limited to, leaves, grass <br /> clippings, weeds, tree trimmings, food waste (including meat and fish <br /> table scraps), residential or community garden wastes, untreated wood <br /> waste, or shrubbery cuttings. Green material is either separated at the point of <br /> generation, or separated at a centralized facility, which employs methods to <br /> minimize contamination. Green material does not include plant material <br /> that is classified as food, or demolition or mixed construction debris." <br /> • Food Processing Residue means "any pre-processed and post-processed material <br /> derived from plant wastes, which is grown, processed, marketed, or managed <br /> by any non-residential, non-community, or commercial entity(ies) for <br /> consumption by humans and domesticated or wild animals. These entities <br /> include, but are not limited to, agriculture, food and dry goods manufacturing <br /> and processing industries, wineries, restaurants, hospitals, and food <br /> distributors. Food Processing Residue is either separated at the point of <br /> generation, or separated at a centralized facility which employs methods to <br /> minimize contamination. " <br /> • Biosolids means "solid, semi-solid, or liquid residue generated during the <br /> treatment of domestic sewage in a treatment works. Biosolids includes, but is <br /> not limited to; industrial and water treatment sludge, domestic septage and <br /> scum or solids removed in primary, secondary, or advanced wastewater <br /> treatment processes. Biosolids does not include ash generated during the firing of <br /> sewage sludge in a sewage sludge incinerator or grit and screenings generated <br /> during the preliminary treatment of domestic sewage in a treatment works. <br /> • Mixed Solid Waste means "any material which is part of the municipal solid waste <br /> stream, and is mixed with or contains non-organics, processed industrial <br /> materials, or plastics. A feedstock that is not separated or contains 1.0% or more <br /> physical contaminants by weight is mixed solid waste. Compostable material that <br /> contains mixed demolition or mixed construction debris shall be considered mixed <br /> solid waste." <br /> • Manure means "accumulated herbivore or avian excrement. This definition <br /> shall include feces and urine, and any bedding material, spilled feed, or soil that is <br /> mixed with feces or urine. " <br /> • Garbage means "all kitchen and table food waste, and animal or vegetable waste <br /> that attends or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of food <br /> stuffs" in accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17225.30. <br /> The Compost Facility will receive waste from non-recyclable material separated at the <br /> RRF, municipalities, and commercial self haulers. The facility will be designed to process <br /> the maximum volume of feedstock based on the available land. Actual throughput will <br /> depend on the composting technology and available feedstock. <br /> 1.3.1 Maximum Daily Load Capacity <br /> ® Give an estimate of the maximum daily load capacity of the facility.
