�1J 0 April 8, 2014 The landfill operator would include practices and procedures in the SWFP to comply with AB 1760. The procedures would describe how the expanded landfill would salvage all economically feasible metallic discards. Current Status: Forward complies with the requirements of AB 1760 to the extent feasible given site safety requirements. However, economically feasible metallic discards are generally pulled out of the waste stream prior to delivery to the Forward Landfill. o. 54 Forward 1993 (C3) Diesel fuel should be stored in a manner which provides for secondary containment. Current Status: Secondary containment is provided for all diesel fuel storage locations. The secondary containment consists of double walled tanks and concrete treated containment structures. p. 62 (H.3) Proposed as Part of the Project: As a participant in the SJCMSCP, Forward will incorporate SJCMSCP guidelines developed to minimize effects of rodenticides to the garter snake, the brush rabbit and the Swainson's Hawk (Appendix A of the SJCMSCP). Current Status: Forward is not currently using rodenticides at the site. If rodenticides will be used, Forward will review the SJCMSCP guidelines (Appendix A) regarding rodenticides and wiR contract with a qualified biologist, if necessary, to evaluate rodenticide use at the site. Identified in EIR: Rodenticides and methods of application used at the landfill shall be reviewed by a qualified biologist to determine if they reflect the most effective and safe methods for controlling rodents. That biologist shall make recommendations for improvement if needed. Current Status: Forward is not currently using rodenticides at the site.
