April 8, 2014 <br />The landfill supervisor will be responsible for providing overall site security <br />during normal working hours. <br />All areas and facilities, other than those expressly designated for use by <br />haulers, will be considered restricted areas. <br />Areas within the site where hazardous or suspected hazardous materials <br />are stored will be properly identified and secured. <br />Salvaging and scavenging will be prohibited at the landfill, except for <br />authorized materials recovery programs. <br />Current Status: Forward on-site personnel provide site security during <br />normal working hours. Onsite structures are alarmed and monitored by an <br />offsite security agency. <br />Locations within the site where hazardous materials are stored are identified <br />and secured. Signs are posted directing haulers to the active areas of the <br />landfill. Access to all other areas of the site are restricted. Visitors to the site <br />are required to check-in at the site office. <br />Salvaging and scavenging are prohibited at the landfill, except for authorized <br />materials recovery programs. <br />r. <br />80(l.3) <br />Proposed as Part of the Project: <br />The project sponsor will continue to apply, to the entire consolidated <br />landfill, the safety procedures currently employed at the existing Forward <br />Landfill and described in the Workplace Injury and Illness Prevention Plan. <br />The project sponsor will furnish information regarding proposed disposal <br />operations and safety procedures at the Austin Road Landfill, and the <br />proposed consolidated landfill, to the Lathrop -Manteca Fire District. <br />Monthly inspections of all facilities for safety will be conducted in <br />accordance with the Safety Checklist prepared by the National Solid <br />Waste Management Association (NSWMA) or other checklist of equivalent <br />scope and detail. <br />Safety meetings with employees will be conducted to disseminate safety <br />information, in accordance with procedures described in the JTD. <br />Personal protective gear will be provided for the safe handling of solid <br />waste, as described it -the JTD. <br />Page 20 <br />
