Their second offer is to purchase the ninety-seven acres <br /> owned by the City of Lodi at the Harney Lane disposal <br /> site for a total consideration of $15 ,000 . The same <br /> high standards of performance mentioned above will be <br /> maintained. <br /> Both offers are subject to the following conditions : <br /> a. The Corporation is allowed to operate the waste disposal <br /> site until it is filled, employing the highest standards <br /> of operation. <br /> b . The City of Lodi agrees that for a period of ten years , <br /> all waste generated within the City limits be disposed <br /> of at this site . <br /> . c . The Corporation is permitted to charge any user of the <br /> disposal site a minimum fee of $1 . 00 per load or a fee <br /> of $ . 75 per cubic yard, whichever is greater. This <br /> rate is guaranteed for three years , but may be adjusted <br /> after that period. For commercial users , special <br /> contract rates will be worked out on an individual basis. <br /> d. The Corporation, for operating the landfill, is to <br /> receive the revenue the City of Lodi now collects from <br /> commercial haulers . <br /> Comments <br /> The property presently is in the ownership of the City of <br /> Lodi. The offer to lease or purchase . the property would need <br /> the concurrence of the City of Lodi. <br /> Item "a. " - <br /> Should the proposal be acceptable to the County, a tight <br /> contract should be developed to insure strict compliance with the <br /> regulations and insure a continuous operation for the duration of <br /> contract in order that the disposal operations may never be <br /> disrupted or ever a need for County government to assume operations . <br /> - 26 - <br />
