Total tonnage for those <br /> materials is equal to 24 .2% of the total waste stream. <br /> When the wood program which involves transformation is <br /> subtracted, 14.2% is applicable toward the County's 25% <br /> short-term goals. Commercial and industrial recycling, <br /> encouraged by regulations as needed, could result in <br /> diversion of much of this material. <br /> 2. Hazards Created: <br /> The above commercial and industrial strategies <br /> would create minimal hazards. However, storage of <br /> recyclable materials on site could create fire hazards <br /> which would have to be mitigated. <br /> 3. Ability to Accommodate Changing Political, Social and <br /> Economic Conditions: <br /> The commercial and industrial programs suggested <br /> are readily adaptable to changes in political, social <br /> and economic conditions. It would be fairly easy to add <br /> or delete targeted waste types as needed. <br /> 4. Consequences of the Program on Waste Types: <br /> The recycling program is unlikely to alter waste <br /> types in commercial and industrial wastes.
