Description of Alternatives That Will be Decreased in Scope: <br />Implementation of the special waste program selected <br />by the County should not decrease current diversion <br />activities. <br />F. Special Wastes for Which There Are No Permitted <br />Handling Or Disposal Methods: <br />The County is not aware of any special waste in the <br />unincorporated area for which there is no permitted <br />handling or disposal method. The County is not <br />experiencing a problem handling and disposing of its <br />special wastes. However, the special wastes being <br />diverted or disposed could become a problem if the <br />diversion and disposal programs currently in use were to <br />cease to exist. <br />G. Other Special Wastes Going to Permitted Facilities: <br />Some of the disposal options available to the County <br />include the following: <br />1. Incinerator Asir: <br />Industrial incinerator ash is not accepted at <br />the County owned sanitary landfills. Forward, Inc. <br />in Stockton accepts some ash at its class II <br />landfill in the City of Stockton after appropriate <br />tests have been performed on the material. <br />The small quantities of ash found in the <br />County's Waste Generation Study are from <br />residential fireplaces or burn barrels, and are not <br />Chapter 6 - Special Wastes <br />11 <br />
