3. Create a Cities/County team to develop and <br />implement joint programs. This team would be <br />convened in the short term and continue to meet in <br />the medium-term planning period. Whenever <br />possible, the County will work with other <br />jurisdictions to minimize costs and duplication of <br />effort. <br />4. Produce or obtain informational flyers, pamphlets, <br />press releases, and media spots on general waste <br />reduction issues and on specific waste management <br />projects to be addressed. <br />5. Develop or obtain audio and video aids to be used <br />to present City and County Programs and to <br />encourage homeowners and businesses to reduce, <br />reuse and recycle their waste stream. <br />6. Develop mailing lists for distribution of <br />materials. <br />7. Distribute prepared materials to civic <br />organizations, community groups, and the media on a <br />regular basis. <br />8. Develop refuse collection franchises and ordinances <br />that regulate and require collectors to develop <br />public information programs. <br />9. Develop or obtain a curriculum program to be used <br />in the school system. <br />10.
