Components of the enclosed flare in contact with the flame shall be <br />constructed of hastalloy or inconel or from castable refractory. <br />B. A two foot wide 18 gauge 316 stainless steel sheet protector shall be seal <br />welded to the top of the flare steel housing to prevent discoloration or <br />damage to the steel and burning the paint. <br />C. The flare stack shall be fabricated from SA 515 or better sheet steel. <br />Structural shapes shall be A 36. <br />2.03 NOISE <br />A. The noise level from the flare shall not exceed 85 dBA at 3 feet from the flare <br />housing. No flame vibration or pulsations will be' allowed. Combustion is to <br />be smooth and uniform throughout the entire operating range of the flare. <br />A. Exterior steel parts shall be near white metal sandblasted and painted. If <br />interior steel parts are subject to rust, running, or discoloration on the flare <br />exterior surface or concrete pad, they shall also be sandblasted and prime <br />painted. Paint shall be applied in accordance to the Manufacturer's <br />specification and Section 09900 of these Specifications. <br />B. Alloy steel parts not subject to corrosion need not be coated. <br />2.05 PLAQUE <br />A. A metal plaque approximately 3 inches tall by 5 inches wide, presenting <br />the manufacturer and maximum Btu rating shall be welded to the flare <br />shell. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />A. The complete flare assembly shall include the following items assembled <br />and installed according to the Drawings and these Specifications prior to <br />delivery to the job site.
