Prior to installation, the Contractor shall obtain all necessary information for <br />proper mounting of the flare system and connection of all piping and <br />electrical. <br />B. The flare shall be installed by the Contractor and shall require minimal field <br />assembly. Field assembly work shall consist of no more than: <br />I. Pour concrete foundations; <br />2. Install anchor bolts in concrete; <br />3. Lift and set flare skid assembly and components; <br />4. Level all equipment; <br />5. install flare manufacturer provided pipe supports; <br />6. Connect all flare supplied pipes, conduits, and wiring harnesses; <br />7. Anchor and grout all equipment; <br />8. Connect telephone service and main power to the equipment; and, <br />9. Install loose instruments that were removed to facilitate shipping. <br />Following the above installation, the flare skid assembly and flare should <br />be ready for operation. <br />3.03 CONTRACTOR INSPECTION <br />A. Following installation of the flare equipment, the Contractor shall check <br />all construction and shall provide a list of installation deficiencies, and <br />shall certify to the owner that, provided the deficiencies are corrected, the <br />flare will be fully capable of operating as designed. <br />B. The flare will be accepted by the Owner when all operating criteria have <br />been verified, including emissions. <br />C. Electrical equipment shall be pre -wired to the appropriate junction boxes. <br />The Contractor will install interconnecting conduit with wiring harnesses <br />between junction boxes and mount them to conduit supports. Wires are to <br />be labeled by the Flare Manufacturer. <br />3.04 TESTING <br />A. Flare Testing <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer when, in the opinion of the <br />Contractor, the flare is properly installed and ready for testing. The <br />Contractor shall demonstrate the functional operation of all features for <br />verification that the contract provisions are met. Successful demonstration <br />of operation in accordance with the contract, not including emissions <br />testing, will be considered "substantial completion" of this item. <br />North County LFG Collection System 10 FLARE STATION ENCLOSED GROUND FLARE <br />San Joaquin County Public works Section 11550 <br />
