t1.05 STAGING AND SHORING A. Temporary supports shall be designed with an adequate safety factor to assure stability and adequate load bearing capacity. The Contractor shall submit design calculations by a California registered Professional Civil or ' Structural Engineer practicing in their area of expertise and obtain required permits for staging and shoring prior to the work. IB. Trenches greater in depth than five (5) feet shall be shored or sloped prior to entering per OSHA and Cal -OSHA requirements. ' 1.06 TEMPORARY ENCLOSURES A. When any activity hazardous to property or the health of employees and ' the public is in progress, the area of activity shall be enclosed adequately to contain the dust, over -spray, or other hazard.
