Such materials are rejected and shall be disposed of. <br />H. Concrete slabs located outdoors shall have 1/8 inch per foot slope unless <br />specified otherwise on the plans. <br />I. The Contractor shall apply curing compound in accordance with the <br />manufacturer's recommendations in Section 2.03 after finishing the <br />concrete. <br />3.04 FINISHING <br />A. The Contractor shall remove fins and other surface projections from all <br />formed surfaces except for surfaces in contact with earth backfill and shall <br />fill with mortar all surface voids and recesses resulting from removal of <br />form ties. <br />B. The Contractor shall remove the forms after a minimum of 3 days without <br />damaging the concrete. The Contractor shall fill with mortar all surface <br />voids and recesses resulting from removal of forms. <br />C. Concrete shall be finished to avoid any localized ponding of water. Low <br />spots are to be built up using a float to provide a uniform finish. <br />D. The Contractor shallP rovide a "medium broom finish" in the natural <br />direction of drainage. <br />3.05 TESTS, INSPECTION <br />A. The Engineer shall inspect forming and reinforcements prior to placement <br />of concrete. <br />B. The County shall arrange and pay for concrete testing. Three test cylinders <br />shall be molded from each concrete batch. The cylinders shall be tested at <br />no more than 28 days after molding. The tested strength of any cylinder <br />shall not be less than the specified strength. <br />C.
