0 <br />Inspections will be conducted during the following time frames: <br />• One month prior to the normal start of the rainy season <br />• Within one week after the occurrence of the first two major storm events <br />• Within one month after the end of the rainy season <br />The inspections will identify deficiencies and necessary maintenance will be conducted when <br />weather conditions and site conditions allow. <br />3.3.3 Maintaining the Vegetative Cover <br />The vegetative cover will be routinely inspected and evaluated for any signs of stress; that is, <br />stunted growth, wilting, or changes in its natural color in excess of normal seasonal changes that <br />may be caused by LFG emissions or leachate seeps. Bare spots will also be identified and <br />revegetated. Inspections will be performed monthly during the rainy season for the first year and <br />quarterly thereafter. <br />Revegetation will use native grasses as defined by the soil conservation service. For postclosure <br />maintenance, the following activities will be followed: <br />• Schedule annual review of planting for erosion control, and repairs where needed, no <br />later than June 1 st of each year. <br />• Schedule completion of the revegetation and landscaping work no later than <br />October 30th of each year. <br />• Perform annual routine maintenance of the vegetated layer, including repair of <br />damage caused by erosion or sedimentation, and periodic fertilization as necessary. <br />The County may choose to mow or to graze the cover to facilitate inspection for cracks. <br />3.3.4 Inspecting and Maintaining the Final Grading <br />To maintain final grading: <br />• Erosion damage will be repaired as needed. <br />• Slopes will be inspected annually at the end of the rainy season.
