Growersamay deliver triple -rinsed, punctured agricultural containers free of charge to the landfill
40 where they are compacted and removed from the site to recycling processes elsewhere.
Compaction and handling areas on site are selected to provide sufficient room for this activity.
Previously, the delivery areas were located on flat areas in the vicinity of the active landfill face.
7.5.4 Household Hazardous Waste
A portion of the Recycling Center drop-off Area is used for receipt of recyclable Household
Hazardous Waste, such as used batteries, latex paint, waste oil, antifreeze and other non-RCRA
hazardous waste.
