" However, the DEIR <br /> indicates that yard waste processing and composting will be A5 <br /> located; outdoors. Will yard waste processing and composting <br /> operations be covered, either continuously or during the <br /> rainy season? <br /> Appendix F of the DEIR indicates that the wood storage and <br /> composting area will be paved. However, other sections of <br /> the DEIR indicate that this area will be lined. Will this A6 <br /> area be paved or lined? If lined, what will be the <br /> t permeability of the liner? <br /> What is the highest anticipated (historic) ground water t <br /> level underneath the proposed composting area? How will a I <br /> A7 <br /> five foot separation be maintained between compost and <br /> groundwater? <br /> MRF Co ost Facilit <br /> CIWMB staff offer the following comments which may concern the <br /> proposed MRF and/or the compost facility: <br /> Waste Tnes <br /> Page 11 of the DEIR states, "Thero osed TMRF` will <br /> P P accept <br /> nonhazardous solid waste from the 'City of Tracy and the south San <br /> Joaquin County area. " What specific types of waste will be <br /> accepted? Special wastes may require special collection, A8 <br /> treatment, and/or handling. Special wastes include asbestos, <br /> shredder waste, sewage sludge, ash, oil field wastes, tires, mine <br /> wastes, liquid wastes, contaminated soil, etc. Will special <br /> wastes be accepted? <br />
